Chem Tokens

Chem Tokens is a fun and innovative new way of learning chemistry, which is usually the most difficult subject for pupils to understand. This tool allows students to physically interact with atoms and molecules in the form of Tokens; to have a visual representation of what the numbers on the periodical table mean, and how these elements connect. By using the linked app students can scan each Token and see how the element looks using augmented reality. Chem Tokens help students become acquainted with the principals of chemistry and the app provides a safe way to conduct experiments.

The Urban Serene

The self-service library station at HK Cultural Centre is the second station launched in Hong Kong, which provide 24-hours borrow and return service to the public. It takes reference from the unique architectural features of the HK Cultural Centre. The modern and minimal design brings highlight to the left-over space and provides a comfortable and functional library station to the public. The design will serve as a prototype for library stations at other districts with insertion of different materials and transparencies into the generic structural frame to suit various site conditions.

Perigives

Perigives has created foldable posters with pockets, enabling people to give and receive menstruation products without barriers. These posters are distributed in female public restrooms and are accessible on Perigives' website to anyone who wants to help. The posters are designed sto be easily put together, uses the least amount of ink possible and 2 different sizes for people to choose from. The 4 colors red, yellow, brown, and off-white embody menstruation and all races as inclusivity are equally as important to Perigives.

Up

A minimalistic design in solid wood with respect for the materials and our environment. UP is a high-quality circular kitchen using recycled wood from the exclusive and world-renowned flooring manufacturer Dinesen. UP is inspired by the classic craftsman kitchen. It is aesthetic, but at the same time helping to solve existing global issues. The natural qualities and recycling possibilities of materials have been essential to the design.

Ivc Beyond Flooring

The exhibition booth was designed to reconnect people with the core of IVC: the mother rolls of the base materials. They were upcycled & integrated in the heart of the booth. The rolls are used as an architectural element and can be used again in production after the trade show. The design illustrates the vision that IVC wanted to communicate: to think beyond flooring. The floor of the booth also contained a work of art by Glenn Sestig, demonstrating the possibilities of the collection.

Bermuda

Created for the over 100 million fishermen who don't have resources for equipment. Bermuda is a low cost seawater purifier. Its design is based on the Bermuda triangle , from which its shape derives, this triangle shape is also necessary for the purifier's efficiency. It's inflatable body can be used as a lifesaver. Its lines, textures and colors are soft and friendly to convey a sense of hope in the user and generates a state of alert, that in conjunction with good hydration increases the chances of being saved. In addition, due to its materials and technology can be produced at a low cost.
