SteriPak

SteriPak is a kit that converts end of life gas cylinders into autoclaves for sterilising medical and baby equipment. Each kit costs less than 10USD. SteriPak empowers the community as the conversion itself provides work for locals that does not rely on specialised equipment. Many clinics in sub Saharan Africa are forced to reuse surgical equipment like scalpels and forceps due to their expense. SteriPak only requires water and a heat source to achieve safe, consistent sterilisation of this equipment to lower infant mortality rates and increase overall quality of life.

X alarm

X alarm, is an alarm for smokers to make them realize what they are doing to themselves while they are doing it.This design is a new generation of cigarette filters .This design can be a good replacement for expensive advertisements against smoking and it has more influence on smokers minds than any other negative advertising.It has a very simple structure, the filters are stamped with an invisible ink that covers the negative area of the sketch and with each puff the sketch will appear clearer so with each puff you will see your heart is getting darker and you know what is happening to you.

POC

POC: is a new seegras-based food packaging material which was designed to extend the durability of food, reduce foodwaste and reduce plastic packaging waste. The material is made from sea grass fiber and a binder from the extract of the fiber. Due to the antibacterial properties of the sea grass, a bio-composite can be produced, which is not only easily integrated into the industrial process, but also makes food longer lasting and the packaging completely biodegradable.

Through the innovative re-appropriation of existing cardboard aid packaging, ubiquitously used by charities to distribute relief aid to disaster hit areas in the BoP (Bottom of the Pyramid), ToyBox provides opportunities for both play and education. In this way, adopting a design-driven approach, ToyBox alters the meaning of an aid carton, from purely utilitarian, expendable cardboard box to an opportunity for engagement, play and discovery.
