No Footprint House

The NFH is developed for serial production, based on a larger toolbox of prefabricated residential typologies. A first prototype was built for a European family in the southwest of Costa Rica. They chose a two-bedroom configuration with steel structure and pine wood finishes, which was shipped to its target location on one single truck. The building is designed around a central service core in order to optimize logistical efficiency regarding assembly, maintenance and usage. The project seeks for integral sustainability in terms of its economic, environmental, social and spatial performance.

Textile

This case is an urban renewal and renovation project. Under the background of urban renewal, the designer has carried out a comprehensive study on the history and geographical features of the textile industry in Deqing County. Inspired by the Textile. The main body of the space follows the architectural structure of the old factory building and uses the architectural symbols of the broken lines to integrate the building into the interior to form an organic unity. It is like an art gallery that exists in a box.

Hospitality design is a highly challenging area where the interiors need to stay fresh and appealing with the future trends in design. Pallet is a micro brewery that was designed with the thought of using sustainable materials in their raw state to achieve contemporary designs. Unconventional use of recycled wooden pallets for the interior decor is the highlight of this restaurant. It portrays the design philosophy of repetition of a module to generate patterns and textures. Although materials used are in raw state it gives international look and attracts clientele across the world.

The Urban Serene

The self-service library station at HK Cultural Centre is the second station launched in Hong Kong, which provide 24-hours borrow and return service to the public. It takes reference from the unique architectural features of the HK Cultural Centre. The modern and minimal design brings highlight to the left-over space and provides a comfortable and functional library station to the public. The design will serve as a prototype for library stations at other districts with insertion of different materials and transparencies into the generic structural frame to suit various site conditions.
