In the beverage industry, orange peels are disposed at a massive rate. This by-product generated from the process of fruit juice extraction is innately pliable and durable, thus presenting itself as a great leather alternative for handbag. The unique property of orange is that it produced a pleasant aroma. Hence the challenge is to find ways to preserve the material. It was concluded that mechanical dehydration removed all the moisture, and eliminated the process of decomposition. The production process was separated in four main stages – dehydration, cutting, assembling and stitching.

RETROFIT MELHORAMENTOS COMPANY SAO PAULO

Organized around the current central atrium the project aims to reconfigure the entire building respecting it’s structural grid. A rational the study of its structural systems, four hydraulic cores were created to attend all floors. On the ground floor, curved walls and soft ramps protect the interior from the street, creating a smooth transition to a large area open atrium. The Atrium is organized around a water mirror that allows all the functions of the building to communicate in harmony.

Social integration of the blind is not just about building accessible infrastructures but being emotionally inclusive with each other. Many sighted still feel embarrassed or sorry when they see blind people. Sorry only creates distance. See beyond prejudice and sorry, see beyond the dark glasses. Beyond all these you will meet someone. Most blind people feel great, live a full life, have fully accepted their blindness, and actually this is what they want you to think about them. Beyond is a glasses collection for blind people. Beyond is about feeling good.

Under Pressure

Under Pressure is a simulation training program for journalists in the face of a crisis situation. The tool is an interactive website, with tasks meant to sharpen reportage and decision-making skills. Scenarios featured in the module are based on actual natural disasters and emergencies that happened in the Philippines. The program will also be translated in augmented and virtual reality technology, allowing users to immerse themselves in the actual disaster or emergency scenario.

Recycle Collection Center, Cyberjaya

Cyberjaya Recycling Center is the efforts were made to promote its residence to separate and recycle their waste since the township is being promoted as a Green City of the future for people to work, play and live. What was lacking before the completion of this building is a center for collecting of recycle materials. These materials are sold by the residents here to encourage the people living in Cyberjaya to recycle their waste and earning money rather than throwing them inside the waste bin which will go straight to the dumping ground. A site of approximately 0.246 acre or 10,716 sq ft.

Maidan

The Maidan tent is a covered, welcoming square, designed to host various activities. The structure is a round, multifunctional space open on every side and subdivided into eight sectors which are zoned in two concentric areas. The center of the tent is an open common meeting place enclosed by a ring of semiprivate spaces where people can gather to pursue their activities in a more intimate common space.
