Wagon Remodeling

The Japanese stone roasted sweet potato food wagon has long been an important presence in Japan's winters, bringing warmth and gently illuminating the town as night falls. It was reimagined through a contemporary design approach. In Kyoto, where the cityscape features a rhythm of horizontal and vertical elements like lattice windows, it was designed to integrate diagonal elements, adopted for structural reasons, in a way that complements Kyoto's streets as the ground and forms a figure within it.

Traveling in Virtual Space

The cover design of these elementary school textbooks provides an opportunity for experience-based learning through an indirect journey into the space depicted on the cover. The design features an illustration that spans from the front to the back cover to convey the concept of space. By enabling students to experience a virtual space through the use of augmented reality (AR) technology, the design encourages three-dimensional thinking and imagination Students can explore and interact with the illustrated space, creating a more engaging and interactive learning experience.

Sustenta

Sustenta is a 2 piece toilet that aims to redefine eco-consciousness. It sets a new standard in water conservation by using 2.5 liters (0.66 gallons) per flush, which is lower than the actual ecologic toilets that range from 3.5L to 4.8L. This represents a reduction of up to 60 percent in water usage, marking a viable option for day a day sustainability. Recognizing the importance of water conservation and toilet functionality, Sustenta delivers a new toilet experience that also contributes to the preservation of one of the planet's key resource.
