Walk Me

The handle is smooth yet rigid; its contours create an ergonomic, snug grip for the human hand but can also comfortably wrap around a human's wrist or arm. As the handle is rigid, it will not contract, so any tension from a dog pulling will not squish the human's hand (which is a design flaw in the conventional loop handle dog leashes). The distinctive handle pattern (splats, splotches and swirls of colour) are individual to each handle as they form uniquely from the hands-on moulding and baking process. The handle and rope are made from 100 percent post-consumer plastic.

Command Z

The book is divided into pre, mid, and post-stages. These three stages also apply to the various stages of Alzheimer's disease. Different design approaches are used in different stages. Combining tracing paper, a very fragile material, at an early stage can show the vulnerability of people with Alzheimer's disease. The temperature sensitive ink are combined with text in the mid-stage. When one places one's hand on it, writing appears. In the late stages, the book is combined with fire. Aum

Showcasing this heritage edifice as a protagonist of design remained the main principle behind this project. The 19th century building was severely damaged during WWII and later fell into disuse. Through sensitive design interventions, the building was brought back to life with a renewed purpose. As well as restoring the historic fabric in a meticulous fashion, the overall building was rehabilitated into a university campus in order to usher the site into the current age. Its industrial character is directly reflected in the exposed services and the original structural elements.
