Chiesa Diruta

Chiesa Diruta is a proposal for the transformation of a ruined Renaissance church located at Grottole, Italy into a vibrant Cultural Center consisting of a Concert Hall and a Municipal Library. The Concert Hall volume floats above the Foyer, thus freeing the space underneath in order to allow people to visit the monument and enjoy the view over the Basento river valley. The Municipal Library, accessible from the opposite side of the monument, is a hospitable space that develops in two levels. Both usages enhanced through gentle design gestures, create a unique landmark for the entire region.

Ggaedok

The design of Gaenyeomsuda is a combination of the brand name Ggaedok which is an acronym of the Korean phrase Ggaewooja Dokhaeryuk, and quotation marks. The name is intended to boost Korean learners' confidence and reading comprehension ability. The quotation marks add a visual element of wit and intuitiveness that reflects the brand's nature as a study supplement for Korean. To make the learning experience more engaging, Ggaedok features characters that appear in both the vocabulary and reading comprehension books, providing students with an enjoyable factor to help them learn.

Its strength lies in the fusion of practicality and creativity, tackling the four key issues faced by artists and designer through hands on activities and a vibrant brand identity. Bright playful visuals with cute feline friends, provide a dynamic and user friendly experience that addresses educational challenges in a conceptually rich and visually delightful manner.

Cupcrete

The design addresses challenges in paper cup recycling by introducing a novel method to create a new eco-green material called Cupcrete, developed by two sisters. It is formulated by blending cement with shredded paper cups, which are then mixed with water to form a fluid mixture. This mixture is poured into molds and left to dry, transforming into bricks, tiles, panels, furniture, and home accessories. The design offers lightweight construction and boasts acoustic and thermal insulation properties, along with reduced cost and superior environmental advantages.

Atlas

Atlas and Pleione are located on a seafront land plot in the picturesque natural harbor Sivota, on the island of Lefkada, in Greece. It is a complex of two subterranean villas and a subterranean guest house. Atlas Villa is 30 meters from the ocean water, and Pleione Villa is 50 meters away. The minimalistic design of all the villas, the austere architectural lines, the green roves, and the long windows blend functionality, luxury, and sustainability flawlessly. The estate boasts a unique, environmentally friendly design, custom-made interiors, and three vast swimming pools.

Hui House

The art book depicts Hui style architecture, the unique ancient architectural school, and a fading heritage in China that verifies the cultural integration dated back millennia. Each page showcases comprehensive yet digestible information and when overlaid, they transform into a delicate 3D Hui style panorama to attract a broader audience, unveiling not only architectural details with spatial reference and proportionality but also the misty Hui regional culture landscape.
