Cuiwan Zhongcheng
Cuiwan Zhongcheng is a demonstration zone and later community center built in Zhengzhou, China. The building stands at the junction of two plots and opens towards the city. The design applies the concept of the Mobius ring, translating a continuous four dimensional form into an open, multi dimensional space that can also serve as a pedestrian bridge. A steel structure supports external walls of hyperboloid aluminum plates, which are made in a factory and assembled on site. All materials used are low carbon, recyclable and environmentally friendly.
Cuiwan Zhongcheng Demonstration Zone by Arch-Age-Design (AAD) has been highlighted as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Cuiwan Zhongcheng Demonstration Zone earned the Platinum A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2023. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade that recognizes superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
